Are you ready for some football? I'm in a weekly NFL pool. I suck at pool picks almost as hard as I suck at online pick so I obv need help. I'll split my winnings 50/50 with Boris, ie freerolls to the weekly tourney, etc.
Points are not used so it's just straight up high score wins.
Payout is 300-100-50 weekly and 700ish-400ish for the season.

Yeah, yeah. I was rooting for the Cards as much as everybody, but I think it's pretty likely they will not be an exception to the Super Bowl loser curse of late. Seahawks win the West almost by default.
What teams are going to be really bad this year? I think at minimum: Lions, Broncos, Rams, Bucs, and 49ers. I won't give up hope for my 2nd favorite team, the Browns, but it's not looking too good for them either.

I'm in a pool like this as well, no point spread. What you have to do to win though is pick mostly favorites but try to come up with one or two pretty good upsets since most people are looking at the vegas lines as well.
This week I picked the Raiders to beat the Chargers as my only real upset, mainly because the Chargers while coached by Norv are very capable of a slow start plus the Merriman drama doesn't help.

I dunno dude, I'm not sure the Raiders could beat USC, let alone the Chargers.

Oh I know...I wouldn't be laying any sort of money on this straight up. Just saying in this type of pool you usually have to pick one pretty big upset and hit it in order to win the weekly pot.

Alright, here's what I'm leaning towards. Obv the Bucs over Dallas pick is all about what LLB said above. Also, the Cowboys will suck this year. Sorry.
a ram would beat a seahawk in a fight. even if they're in the seahawk's nest, rams have good balance on ledges and stuff. now if the fight was taken to the ocean, the bird wins hands down but i don't see that happening this week.
